New Orleans Recycling Routes

So I emailed Richard’s Disposal Service (btw, I love that the trash company does email so effectively) and they emailed me a route map and the guide for what can go in the can.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m sad to see Phoenix go since they really took an entrepreneurial risk in entering a market know one knew was there and I wish them well.

I’m so excited to have the City of New Orleans recycling and to have a nice can to put stuff in. Feels like the 21st century If you need a recycling can, go to the city site and request one here.

Google blows.

They’re running a utility company without so much as a Public Utilities Commission for oversight.

It’s negligent business homicide.

Taken from an earlier email thread in regard to Google’s mis-attribution of reviews from the UK to a US company and Google’s inclusion of absolutely awful review snippets.

If they were the telephone company they’d be fined by the PSC for running such a poor system.

Comment Spam from Mexico

There was a question last night on #blogchat from @Yogitastic regarding moderating comments. My gosh, if we didn’t moderate comments we’d have nothing but spam and that’s even with Akismet minding the door.

I’ve been looking for ways to economize the directory submission process and thought I would give it a try with this site.

This is a personal blog, of sorts. I don’t write often and it’s usually just to catalog interesting things I find / feel that don’t fit within one of my professional outlets. So, it has almost no links whatsoever.

So, I submitted the link http://willscott.me/ with the link text “Will Scott” for which this blog ranks around position 96.
