Using Claude.ai to Summarize Existing Content

This was a fun, quick exercise. I was interested in what Claude.ai would come up with when I asked it to summarize an existing piece of content.

For this exercise, I chose to ask it to give me 3 distinct summaries of Higher Education Inbound Marketing: The Key to Engaging Students and Parents.

Some considerations for Claude.ai content summaries:

  • It has a much larger context than ChatGPT, so you can put in a lot more text.
  • It doesn’t read URLs, so you have to copy and paste your text.
  • My methodology is to search for the URL in Google, view Google’s cached version, and copy and paste from there.

My Process to summarize with Claude.ai

Search Google for the actual URL you want to summarize.

Click the 3 dots next to the URL to get an information panel. You must click on the down arrow at the top right to see the “Cached” button.

Once you have the Cached version of the page, click the link to view the “Text-only version.”
