Zapier + ChagGPT Automate Your Google Business Profile Updates

The last few years of AI development haven’t changed the priniciples, but they have changed the way we execute.

In this video, I demonstrate how to automate Google Business Profile updates using Zapier, ChatGPT, DALL-E and Google Sheets.

Why It Matters

A well-managed Google Business Profile improves local SEO and customer engagement. Posting updates keeps your business visible and relevant.

Tools You Need

Zapier: Connects apps and automates tasks.
OpenAI API: Used to call ChatGPT and DALL-E
Google Sheets: Tracks and manages data.
Google Business Profile: Posts your updates.

Zapier is the best tool for this. Make.com is another good option for no-code automation, but doesn’t work as well with Google tools.

How It Works

The process has two main steps:

Collect and Process Data: Enter info in a form. It saves to Google Sheets.
Post Updates: Zapier checks for new data and posts to your profile.

Steps in Detail

Fill out a form. The info goes into Google Sheets.
Zapier checks the sheet. If it finds new data, it crafts an update.
If no image is provided, one is created automatically.
The update is reviewed and then posted.

Image Creation

If an image is missing, DALL-E generates one. This ensures posts are always visually appealing.

Review and Post

A team member gets an alert in Google Chat – or the chat tool of your choice – to review the post. After approval, it goes live on Google.

Next Steps

Try this setup using Zapier, Google Sheets, and Google Business Profile. Future improvements will include identification of appropriate stock images, and integration with project management tools.
