Google Hotel Comparison Stealing Searches – Not So Robin Hood

Google has launched a Hotel Comparison engine over the top of paid ads. Is anybody else seeing this? "Up yours, Advertisers"! It's been hard enough for national brands to maintain local rankings, and now Google's stealing another inch.

Annoying WordPress Spam

Is it too much to ask that the WordPress spammers be a little inventive? I'd almost rather go back to "Great post"! Google Reviews Tip

Mike Blumenthal shared an incredible tip at SEMpdx SearchFest 2011 regarding creating a shortcut to Google Reviews input box. Shortcut to your Google places page: http://maps.google.com/maps/place?cid=17890642534106265499 You can truncate the very long, awful main URL. Better still, link directly to the input box for reviews: http://maps.google.com/maps/place?cid=17890642534106265499&dtab=2&action=openratings&ct=write-review Note the addition of &dtab=2&action=openratings&ct=write-review Awesome!
